I never realy watched any Lost episodes but since its the final one ever and has already aired in America and not here i feel i must tell you about it.
Jack and Locke use Desmond to temporarily extinguish the light at the heart of the island. The Man in Black becomes mortal once again and is killed by Jack and Kate, but not before fatally wounding Jack. In his final moments, Jack lights the heart of the island once again, halting the island's destruction so that the remaining survivors can escape on the Ajira plane. Hurley takes Jack's place as protector of the island. The flash sideways is revealed to be a type of purgatory for the main characters, where they reside until accepting their life and death, and are then able to "let go" and "move on."
